The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Soldiers Table

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a diverse cast of characters, and a gripping narrative including celestial beings, demons, and malevolent powers growing in strength within the city.

Note: Key plot points for the latest installment of this adventure follow below.

The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced

The latest chapter concluded with a major cliffhanger and introduced the first table of characters who will separate from the primary party to begin their own adventure, separate from the additional parties.

This warrior group features Teor Pridesire (portrayed by Travis), Thimble (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), the cleric (the player), and Kattigan (the actor).

Dividing the Cast

Given a large ensemble, it was evident from the start that having everyone at the same party would be unworkable.

This explains, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Introduction, connecting the personal journeys before splitting into three smaller tables: Warriors, Planners, and Seekers.

Characteristics of the Soldiers Table

As described by the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for players who prefer a classically intense battle-oriented narrative style where diplomatic options are scarce.

Initially, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander might appear out of place, but the developments of the latest installment show why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the combat party.

Motivations for Departure

To begin with, the team has a clear idea where to go next after a violent opening clash with the enemy group.

A former ally of Thjazi—whose death kicked off the narrative’s action—used the foes for his own means, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the rogue, and stealing all the magical artifacts to dispose of.

Casimir then cleared his debts and ran away to a secure base in the remote area, beyond the urban center, with Cyd close behind.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each adventurer has a personal reason to depart the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, seeks revenge.
  • Kattigan knows the region and warns that it is a nasty place.
  • The strong character and Wicander, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to execute the fighter and instead rescued him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their status as important members in the influential clan could assist the team reach locations they usually can’t.
  • Additionally, Teor pledged a eternal obligation to The savior for his rescue and will now follow him everywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

In addition, all of them are sought by the powers that rule the setting for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city no longer safe:

  • The rogue and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
  • Tyranny and The healer betrayed House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
  • Teor is marked for death by the family.

This leaves them little choice but to head to Timmony in quest for the traitor.

What’s Next?

From the latest episode’s Cooldown, we find out that the Soldiers table will be absent next week, leaving the remaining eight participants to round up the Explorers and Strategists tables.

Viewers can anticipate learning which characters will be where in the season’s final introductory chapter, available to watch on October 24.
